Keep track of yourself, or fail…

If this picture looks familiar, you’ve been here a while.  This is my Journal.  It contains all my PRs (1, 3, 5RMs), benchmark WODs, and almost all WODs I’ve done to date.  At any given time I can open this and find out what my previous weight, times and scores.  Some people use theirs to track their weight at different points, what they ate, or anything relative to their fitness goals.  If you do not have one of these, chances are you have no idea what you’re doing when you walk in the door and do not care about your personal goals and progress.  That sounds harsh, but I care about each one of you enough to ensure when you come in to the box you are being given the very best I have to offer, time, knowledge, and ability.  All I ask of you is to know how you’re doing with the programming I provide for you.  Blank stares and guessing will not make you better.  Precise knowledge of your ability will.

We have started a PR Board that will be updated each month.  USE IT!  If you “forgot” to bring your Journal in, use the board to keep track of lifts and times.  If you see it up there everytime you come in, you will be more apt to do better the next time you have to perform.  This is a great tool for everyone to use.  I will be putting up BENCHMARK BOARDS in the near future that will showcase the top 3 performers in a given WOD (the”Girls”, powerlifts, oly lifts, etc.).  Make a goal to have your name on each one.  For now, be accountable for yourself.
