The Turkish Get-Up is a highly functional movement that requires all the muscles of the body working together in order to accomplish the task.  Take a look at the white board under the heading “10 General Skills” and find one that doesn’t pertain to this movement.  This is not merely a show of strength on Rob’s part.  This is a show of pure athletic performance.  Please, share your thoughts on why, or why not this is considered functional,or just give Rob some props.
